Under the guidance of Director Strobel, the Natural History Museum was enriched with a vast and substantial zoological and ethnographic collection: the “Museo Eritreo Bottego”, now an integral part of MUST.

In the room dedicated to the explorer from Parma, the “gentle” decolonisation process was completed with the creation of a documentary projected continuously on the enormous wall of the room, aimed at recounting the historical reality without the intervention of the Italian regime’s propaganda, which portrayed the soldier from Parma as a heroic explorer of the African continent.
