To facilitate teaching, multimedia tools for studying veterinary histology and anatomy are available in the Veterinary Anatomical Collection during opening hours, allowing for alignment with diagnostic imaging activities.
There are six workstations, each with a computer on which you can consult eight different veterinary anatomy software programmes relating to dogs, cats, horses, cattle, pigs, birds, fish and rodents.
For each species, the software allows you to view the various organs and systems individually and in combination, allowing viewing from any angle and at multiple zoom levels.
To align the study of anatomy with that of diagnostic imaging, you can consult the high-quality veterinary anatomy atlas based on medical imaging, vet-Anatomy.
Upon request to the supervisory staff, two laptops are available with licences to use all the features of the application.
Each computer station has a display of digital slides of various organs. The digital images were obtained by high-resolution scanning of traditional slides (Whole Slide Image, WSI) and can be viewed using software that allows navigation and observation at various magnifications in real time.
