The collection, an integral part of the scientific collections of the University of Parma, was established in 2013 with the aim of offering cultural proposals concerning Mathematics and Computer Science.
Two permanent interactive exhibitions can currently be visited:
– The History of the Personal Computer: the exhibition displays working computers built from 1966 to the present day that can be used by visitors, essentially students accompanied by teachers, who can thus experience the technological evolution that has led to the current results, now widespread heritage, such as smartphones and tablets
– Pythagoras and his theorem: the exhibition offers the opportunity to observe the different uses of one of the most famous theorems in the history of geometry and to play with a number of puzzles aimed at discovering the facets of the theorem. Not only that, but it is also possible to get to know the illustrious mathematician and approach some of the concepts related to the theorem
