It consists of dehydrated (so called ‘dry’) macroscopic preparations of entire regions of the human body, dating back to the late 19th century, including bones, muscles, ligaments, fascias, nerves and vessels, the latter injected with different coloured masses, mainly plaster, to differentiate veins from arteries. Some of these preparations have been reproduced virtually with 3D computer modelling and can be navigated immersively by the visitor via the web at specific links.
