The University of Parma possesses an exceptional technical-scientific heritage, the fruit of teaching and research conducted in the area over the centuries. In addition to the University’s three museums, this heritage is preserved and exhibited at the Museo Diffuse Science Museum (MuDeS), established in 2024 and consisting of the museum’s didactic collections of Palaeontology, Mineralogy, Macedonio Melloni Physics, “Lorenzo Tenchini” Biomedicine, ‘A. Lemoigne’ Veterinary Medicine, Crystallochemistry, Computer Science and Mathematics, located in the university departments of SCVSA, Mathematical, Physical and Computer Science, Veterinary Medicine and Medicine.

Born out of the desire to give new visibility to the collections, the MuDeS is now working to strengthen the historical and cultural values, consolidating the sense of belonging to the Institution through an exhibition itinerary that allows the general public to grasp the rich history of didactics and research, which has always been carried out with great commitment by our University, in all areas of science and technology.
