On Friday, 14 July, the Don Boarini Hall, at the Botanical Garden, will be closed to the public for the holding of a competition.
The room, dedicated to priest Don Ezio Boarini, a parish priest from the Parma area with a passion for lepidoptera, displays, in addition to the more familiar butterflies (diurnal lepidoptera) also moths (nocturnal lepidoptera), including the well-known ‘Death’s Head Sphinx’, the moth made famous in the film ‘The Silence of the Lambs’, and some species of beetles.
