The Museum of Crystal-Chemistry was created in 2015 to consolidate and stabilise the initiatives for the dissemination of Crystallography implemented in Parma in 2014 to celebrate the International Year of Crystallography.

The set-up builds on the setting of the “CRISTALLI!” exhibition organised in Parma in 2014, and takes up the main themes illustrating the connections between Crystallography, Chemistry and everyday life
