The ‘Alessio Lemoigne’ Veterinary Anatomical Museum consists of preparations of high scientific and didactic value collected since 1845, the year the School of Veterinary Medicine in Parma was founded. The passage of years, the vicissitudes of war and inconstant care led to a gradual deterioration of the museum collection, which only in the last fifty years has regained its due dignity thanks to the far-sighted efforts of the scientific curators, the constant activity of the anatomical preparators and the intervention of the central administration.
