Must – Museum of Natural Historiography

The museum experience is divided into two exhibition routes:

1. 1. The MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY HISTORIOGRAPHY on the second floor
   2. The “PALEONTOLOGICAL AND THEMATIC EXHIBITION” on the ground floor, with free admission

   From the entrance desk of the Palazzo Centrale, follow the ramp and the tactile paving leading inside through the first entrance on the left. Here you will find a map, also provided with Braille labels, illustrating the two proposed routes.

   1. The MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY HISTORIOGRAPHY on the second floor

   Behind the introductory map is the lift (internal dimensions: 80 × 120 cm; door opening: 75 cm; internal handrail projecting 8 cm, height from floor: 86 cm), which provides access to the second floor.

   Upon request, the museum provides a courtesy wheelchair, with dimensions suitable for use in the lift, for visitors with mobility difficulties. To use the wheelchair, visitors are required to leave an identity document at the desk, which will be returned when the aid is returned.

   At the entrance, coat racks and lockers with keys, available at different heights, can be freely used to store bulky items such as backpacks, umbrellas, etc.

   A second tactile map with Braille labels illustrates the sections of the exhibition route and the locations of the five videos: four talking portraits (Padre Fourcault, Maria Luigia, Pellegrino Strobel and Angelo Andres) and the large video dedicated to Bottego.

   Each video is accompanied by a corresponding subtitled Italian Sign Language (LIS) version, accessible via QR code. The map also indicates the locations of the four detailed audio descriptions for visitors with visual impairments (Wunderkammer, Comparative Anatomy Room, Pellegrino Strobel and Butterfly Room).

   Please note: Visitors are advised to connect to the “EmiliaRomagna” Wi-Fi network to download multimedia content more easily.

   Along the exhibition route, visitors can rest on some of the stone seats located beneath the windows and on the small armchairs (“poufs”) in the room dedicated to Bottego. Museum staff are available to provide assistance and directions as required.

   2. The “PALEONTOLOGICAL AND THEMATIC EXHIBITION”, with free admission, on the ground floor

   On the ground floor, entering through the second doorway on the left, visitors can access the “PALEONTOLOGICAL AND THEMATIC EXHIBITION” free of charge. The specimens are displayed in cases accompanied by both descriptive panels and audio descriptions, which can be accessed via QR code.

   Reduced Admission

   Admission is free for visitors with disabilities (upon presentation of appropriate certification) and, where applicable, one accompanying person.
