Four films spanning different stages of life, following characters as they discover themselves, lose their way and find each other again: in July, the ‘L’estate degli incontri’ film series at the University of Parma’s Centre for Communication Studies and Archives will present Richard Linklater’s ‘Before Trilogy’, comprising *Before Sunrise* (Prima dell’alba) and *Before Midnight (Prima del tramonto), concluding with Luca Guadagnino’s Call Me by Your Name.
Four screenings to rediscover films that tell the stories of encounters destined to leave their mark and of loves born of words, desire, anticipation and time spent together. Four films that span different stages of life, following characters who discover themselves, lose their way and find each other again on a cinematic journey through unforgettable dialogue, authentic emotions and moments destined to remain in the memory.
The programme is organised in collaboration with Cinema D’Azeglio Società cooperativa.
The films will be shown in their original language with Italian subtitles.

On a train bound for Vienna, Jesse and Céline meet by chance. They decide to spend the night together before parting at dawn. Through walks, confessions and endless conversations, an unexpected bond develops that will change the way they see the world forever.

From 8 pm, the CSAC courtyard comes to life with ‘Cinema e Cocomeri’, organised by the Avis Cortile San Martino Association, the festival’s refreshment area: fresh watermelon, drinks, aperitifs and a chance to get together and enjoy the summer evenings at the Abbey.
